About The Rockin' Roadrunners
The Rockin' Roadrunners was formed
in 1992 with the philosophy to play the best dancing rock music
from the 50's and 60's. We built a large following in the
Southern Oxford County area by giving the audience what they
want, up tempo fun danceable music. The band continues to
perform 60 songs a show and continues adding new material to the
set list every year.
The uniqueness of our group is we
play the music true to the way it would have sounded back in the
mid-sixties. Our goal was to capture the energy and sound of the
music as if one was listening to a band in a small club in the
60's.
The crowd that comes to a Rockin'
Roadrunner show is also unique. The style of music we play
attracts a wide diverse group of people. It is not unusual to
find a group of young 20 to 30 year olds sharing the dance floor with
a group of 50 to 60 year olds.
In 2002 and 2003 we recorded and
released two original music cd's. All the band members are
from the small town of Buckfield Me.
